And this is what I did about it!
I was out of shape. I had a beer belly and I was frustrated that I let my health get out of hand. The problem raising kids is it leaves you almost no time for yourself, so getting fat is easy.
I got tired of being out of shape and fat and I did something about it. What I didn’t want to do is just go to the gym and start lifting weights. Or just try anything I had done in the past.
I wanted something that I could enjoy, got results and allowed me to just feel better.
When you reach your 40’s reality sets in and you realize that you can’t really eat and train like you use to and if you are going to stay healthy and fit you need to take a way different approach.
My kids are 12 and 8 and they still want to horse around with their dad, but I was just tired at the end of the day.
There was a lot of different ways I could have approached getting fitter and healthier and a ton of different programs that probably would work.
What I knew is I wanted something easy that would not make dieting an issue, I wanted a sustainable way to eat that didn’t require me to always be dieting every so many weeks.
I also had a gym membership and didn’t want to give that up so needed something I could do while at the gym, but that if I gave up my gym membership could still do something at home.
Side note: with COVID this past year I had to give up my membership to cuts household costs and I was still able to use these concepts while training at home.
